Not really a fan of the movies. It seems they just cannot stop producing movies based on very famous games. But, I cannot wait to play this. My sister and I like 2 player horror games, and so far only ObsCure and a not-so-great cheat in Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams has gave us anything remotely cool for us to be kept entertained with.

I've actually got a backlog of Wii games at the moment (WiiFit takes up about half an hour each day, and Super Paper Mario has yet to be played until I've finished SMG) so I'm holding off on the WiiWare for now, but this does indeed look mint. The Miyazaki comparison is particularly promising...

Yeah it's a shame Duke Nukem's trapped in development Hell. One of my fave Alien games was the Alien3 movie tie-in. Against all odds, it was a cool platformer with a skinhead Ripley, acid spitting xenomorphs, loads of big weapons and ducts to crawl around in. I've got it on the MD somewhere, but I've read that the SNES version was better... more…

Thunderforce rocked my world, i loved that damn game.
I also spent copius amounts of money playing Gradius in the arcades. Man those were the days.
I have a SNES up in the loft actually, nesting beside an Apple mac classic! Im sure i have a SEGA game gear knocking about also, California games was the dogs on that also.

I've got a ridiculous amount of shooters for the Megadrive (in my humble opinion, the Sega MD is better suited to the genre than the SNES – just look at the slowdown in Axelay, Area 88 and Super R-Type). Curiously, I don't have any of the Thunderforce games in there yet – a terrible oversight.
My fave MD shooters are probably Raiden, T more…

R-Type was the dogs danglies.
Did you ever play Thunderforce 4 on the megadrive?

Anyway, to get back to the tadpoles....
In our pond we always get a fairly healthy batch of tadpoles. We get frog and toad spawn and I have not noticed the fish eating it before. I have noticed them "eating" the tadpoles but they seemed to just spit them out again. Maybe they were eating them and due to the fact that there were so many of the more…

I take your point about the pixar-like quality of the graphics, but you really can't fault Spore on depth. This is a game that goes from a playing field a few microns across to having a whole galaxy to play around in.
You might say perhaps that each segment will be less deep than a whole game devoted to that concept (the city stage will no-do more…
